Coldplay announces new, possibly 'final' album
The Clocks may be ticking for one of the world's most popular bands.
Sitting down with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 Thursday, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin revealed that the group is now recording its seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, and it could be their last.
"It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that," Martin said. "Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something.
"I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing," he added. "Otherwise, we wouldn't put everything into it."
Martin also said that the band would tour in support of Dreams, unlike sixth album Ghost Stories, released in May, Consequence of Sound reports.
Coldplay's song Magic off Ghost Stories was voted "hottest record of the year" by listeners of Lowe's show.
