Taylor Swift back at No. 1 for Christmas
Taylor Swift's 1989 is back at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart. And this time next week, it likely will be the year's top-selling album.
After a week where J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive knocked her to No. 2 on the chart, Swift is back on top, her sixth non-consecutive week at No. 1 with 1989.
Billboard notes that 1989 has sold 3.36 million copies this year, putting it just behind the Frozen soundtrack, which has sold 3.46 million. At the rate the two albums are currently selling, Swift should blow past the soundtrack in time for next week's chart.
Nicki Minaj's The Pinkprint enters the chart at No. 2, while Cole's album falls to No. 4.
A cappella group Pentatonix moves to No. 3 with That's Christmas to Me. The group's holiday album has now sold more than a million copies, making it the third million-seller released in 2014, after 1989 and Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour.
D'Angelo and The Vanguard's Black Messiah, a surprise December release, enters the chart at No. 5.
