Zeppelin to mark 'Physical Graffiti' 40th with reissue
Rhino Records will release a deluxe edition of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti on Feb. 24 — 40 years to the day of the album's original release.
The new release, the latest in a series of reissues of the British rock giants' studio albums, will include a disc of previously unreleased music, including an early mix of Trampled Under Foot called Brandy & Coke and a rough orchestra mix of Kashmir.
Zeppelin's sixth album, Physical Graffiti, has been certified 16 times platinum in the USA, making it one of the most successful double-album releases of all time.
The reissue, newly remastered by guitarist Jimmy Page, will be available as a double CD or LP that replicates the original release, a deluxe three-disc CD or LP with the unreleased audio, a digital download and a super-deluxe boxed set. That version, which lists for $160, will include CDs, vinyl and a download card, as well as a print of the album cover and a hard-bound, 96-page book with photos and memorabilia.
