AL ROKER
RECORD OF THE YEAR: Shake It Off, Taylor Swift. "Everyone is singing it, from kids to adults. You can't not sing it. It's taken over the world."
ALBUM OF THE YEAR: G I R L, Pharrell Williams. "Pharrell created an album that has so many great hooks and such a good, positive feeling that it has to be the album."
BEST NEW ARTIST: Sam Smith. "His voice is velvet, his songs are smooth, and I think he's a great new voice."
NATALIE MORALES
RECORD OF THE YEAR: All About that Bass, Meghan Trainor. "In the year of the booty, Trainor got us all singing innocently along. She's got sass, she's got style and she definitely has staying power."
ALBUM OF THE YEAR: In the Lonely Hour, Sam Smith. "He is a natural born hit maker and this album is proof."
BEST NEW ARTIST: Sam Smith. "Sam Smith just exploded onto the music scene with his amazing vocal range. He is the new Adele, and I'm excited to hear more of his music."
WILLIE GEIST
RECORD OF THE YEAR: Chandelier, Sia. "Great tune, and the mesmerizing video with the young girl dancing pops into your head every time you hear it."
ALBUM OF THE YEAR: In The Lonely Hour, Sam Smith. "One of those rare albums where you don't have to skip a song. That voice holds you all the way through."
BEST NEW ARTIST: Sam Smith. "A talent and storyteller who will be around for a long time."
TAMRON HALL
RECORD OF THE YEAR: Stay With Me, Sam Smith. "Every time I hear this song I fall in love with Sam's voice. The raw emotion gives me chills."
ALBUM OF THE YEAR: Beyonce, Beyonce. "I recall the morning she secretly dropped the album. I was filling in for Carson in the Orange Room. Reading the social media traffic that morning was tremendous. I think the way she released it, and every song on the album, makes you say, 'Hail to the Queen Bey.'"
NEW ARTIST: "I love that my 13-year-old niece introduced me to Sam Smith's music before he appeared on SNL. I saw an interview with Sam where he said after SNL everything changed. Indeed."
