Florence and the Machine announces new album
She's back!
Florence and the Machine will return this summer with new album How Big How Blue How Beautiful, out June 2 on Republic Records.
The Florence Welch-fronted band's third album is preceded by first single What Kind of Man, which BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe premiered Thursday afternoon. Shortly after, the rock-tinged song's music video debuted online, which stars Welch as a woman in the throes of a passionate relationship.
Earlier this week, the band shared a video for the album's sweeping, largely instrumental title track. How Big How Blue How Beautiful is their first album since sophomore effort Ceremonials in 2011, although Welch has been heard since on Calvin Harris' Sweet Nothing in 2012 and The Great Gatsby soundtrack the year after.
The group will play festival shows at Coachella and Bonnaroo this spring and summer.
