A$AP Rocky's new album coming in June
Despite reports to the contrary, ASAP Rocky's new album is not coming next week, he tells Paste BN.
"Nah, that was just a rumor," he said Thursday, asked if At. Long. Last. A$AP. was due May 12, as reported by Billboard last week.
So when should we expect it? "June 2," he says. "Not that close, but not that far."
His long-awaited followup to 2013 debut Long. Live. A$AP. features production from Danger Mouse, Clams Casino and the late ASAP Yams, who died in January of an accidental drug overdose, according to Billboard. He finished mastering the album this past week, and it will not include his collaboration with FKA Twigs and Lykke Li, he says.
"It's not done," the 26-year-old rapper said of the track, which features a beat created by Rocky and Twigs, and vocals from Li. He has known Twigs for about four years now, and the three of them collaborated on the song two years ago, he adds.
But it will feature a new collaboration called Everyday featuring Rod Stewart and Miguel, and produced by Mark Ronson (Uptown Funk), he says.
