Three weeks at No. 1 for The Weeknd album

The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness stays at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart this week, only the second time this year an album has had a three-week run at the top spot.

According to Billboard, Taylor Swift's 1989 had 11 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 during 2014 and 2015, putting three weeks together between Jan. 10 and Jan. 24.

While The Weeknd sold 48,000 copies of Beauty Behind the Madness, according to Nielsen Music, it had 99,000 album equivalent units, which also incorporates individual track sales and on-demand streaming. Bring Me the Horizon had the best week in terms of traditional sales, selling 55,000 copies of That's the Spirit and entering the chart at No. 2, the first time the rockers have reached the top 10.

Country singer Brett Eldredge follows with his sophomore set, Illinois, bowing at No. 3. Slayer also gets the highest-chart album of its veteran career, as Repentless debuts at No. 4. Swift's 1989 rounds out the chart's top five.

Luke Bryan holds the No. 6 slot with Kill the Lights, while Five Finger Death Punch's Got Your Six falls from No. 2 last week to No. 7.

Gary Clark Jr. enters the chart at No. 8 with The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, while Ed Sheeran's X keeps the No. 9 slot. Duran Duran has the fifth debut in the top 10 this week with Paper Gods, the group's highest-charting album in more than 20 years.

Justin Bieber also has a three-week No. 1 run going, as What Do You Mean? sells 128,000 downloads, more than any other track.
