Bob Dylan to drop 'Bootleg Series Volume 12'
Bob Dylan fans can look forward to another volume in the Bootleg Series collection this fall — one representing an especially rich period for the revered singer/songwriter.
Nov. 6 will bring the release of Bob Dylan — The Cutting Edge 1965-66: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12, a six-CD anthology featuring previously unreleased recordings from the sessions for Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde On Blonde.
The deluxe edition will include the complete recording sessions for Like A Rolling Stone, as well as different takes on such classics as Subterranean Homesick Blues, Positively 4th Street, Visions of Johanna and Desolation Row.
The Best of The Cutting Edge 1965-1966 also will be available in 2-CD and 12-inch vinyl 3-LP configurations, offering highlights from the volume; and an "ultra-deluxe," limited-edition 18-CD set — available exclusively at bobdylan.com — promises "every note recorded during the 1965-1966 sessions, every alternate take and alternate lyric," including hotel-room recordings from London, Glasgow and Denver.
