Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd lead AMAs nominees
Add six American Music Awards nominations to Taylor Swift's mountain of accomplishments this calendar year.
Swift, who opened last year's AMAs ceremony with her hit Blank Space, leads the pack of AMAs nominees, which were announced by Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on Good Morning America Tuesday morning. Swift snatched up six nominations, with the Weeknd and Ed Sheeran following with five noms each.
Those three will face off with other artists spanning a number of genres for Artist of the Year, including Luke Bryan, Nicki Minaj, One Direction and Ariana Grande.
Jennifer Lopez will host the awards, which air live on Sunday, Nov. 22 on ABC.
