Pentatonix to perform 'Star Wars' score at American Music Awards

Your favorite selections from the Star Wars score will get the a cappella treatment at this year's American Music Awards, courtesy of Pentatonix.

The vocal pop group will perform music from Star Wars at this year's Nov. 22 awards, backed by a full symphony orchestra.

Pentatonix's self-titled October album, their first of original songs, made history by debuting at the top of the Billboard charts last month, the first a cappella record to hold that distinction.

Other performers at this year's AMAs include One Direction, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato and Carrie Underwood.

Pentatonix' Star Wars tribute comes ahead of the new installation in the franchise, The Force Awakens, which opens in theaters next month.
