Kenny Chesney to miss CMA Awards due to death in the family


According to the Country Music Association, singer Kenny Chesney is unable to appear at tonight's CMA Awards due to a death in the family. 

Chesney is nominated for the night's top prize: Entertainer of the Year.

On Wednesday morning, it was announced that David Lee Murphy and Chesney's "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" won the Musical Event of the Year Award.
