Prince, a prodigy, a provocateur and a complete game-changer in popular music, died Thursday at his Paisley Park compound in the Minneapolis suburb of Chanhassen. The Grammy winning artist was 57. The eclectic artist, whose singular style united people of different tastes and different walks of life sparked cities around the globe to honor the musical legend with purple lights on monuments, theater marquees and more.
