Beyoncé's New Jersey tour date postponed

ASBURY PARK, N.J. — Beyoncé fans gearing up for her highly anticipated "Formation World Tour" stop at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, now need to check their plans for the first weekend of October.

In a statement on its website late Monday afternoon, MetLife said Wednesday's show in East Rutherford, N.J., was being postponed until Oct. 7, citing Beyoncé’s health.

"As a result of strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest, Beyoncé’s highly anticipated New York city area Formation World Tour date in E. Rutherford previously scheduled for this Wed. September 7th at MetLife Stadium has been postponed until Friday, October 7th. Fans holding tickets for the previously scheduled performance should retain them as they will be valid at the rescheduled MetLife Stadium date," the statement said.

"If necessary, refunds will be available as of Wed. September 7th at point of purchase. Tickets for the rescheduled concert date — Friday, October 7th at MetLife Stadium will be available at www.livenation.com and www.ticketmaster.com," the statement said.

According to Ticketmaster.com, Beyoncé has nine remaining stops on the "Formation" tour, including the now rescheduled New Jersey show. If fans can't make the new Oct. 7 show in New Jersey, Beyoncé is still scheduled to perform in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field on Sep. 29.
