'Pretty Little Liars' star Troian Bellisario feels like a cow, but says breastfeeding is 'an honor'

Even famous moms struggle with breastfeeding.

"Pretty Little Liars" actress Troian Bellisario got real on Instagram for World Breastfeeding Week about her complicated and joyful breastfeeding journey with her daughter, who was born in the fall of last year.

Bellisario shares her baby with "Suits" actor Patrick J. Adams.

"I would never have thought something so simple would be so complicated," the 33-year-old started her post.

She went on to share that she was lucky that her milk came in immediately and that nursing was never painful or frustrating. "SO RARE," she added.

But she did struggle with mastitis — a painful infection that sometimes develops for breastfeeding moms — and constant pumping in the middle of the night, on freeways, or "hiding in dark corners of houses."

The post included a photo of her nursing her daughter and a second photo of her in a hands-free pumping bra.

"The most glamorous I’ve ever looked while feeling like an effing cow," she captioned it.

We feel you, mama!

The actress also wrote about being very conscious of what she is putting in her body.

"That means alcohol, medication, even melatonin! I can’t even join in all of this cool CBD stuff that’s happening," she wrote.

Still, Bellisario said "it has been a joy, an honor and a no brainer to feed my daughter this way."

"My body has made it easy for us and I have loved every moment I get to spend this kind of time with her. Not every mother gets that. I don’t know if I will have it for much longer, but I will always take care of her and do what is best for us."

She ended with a sentiment shared among many moms.

"Once again, (expletive) pumping."
