'Mad Men' co-stars get engaged

On screen, Vincent Kartheiser's Mad Men character, Pete Campbell, fell hard for Alexis Bledel's troubled Beth Dawes. She became his mentally unbalanced mistress in Season 5 of the AMC show.

But off camera the two were doing just fine.

And now, Us Weekly reports the Gilmore Girls alum, 31, and Kartheiser, 33, are engaged. And Bledel's rep has confirmed the news to Paste BN.

Past loves for the two: Kartheiser has been linked to actress Rachael Leigh Cook; Bledel dated Milo Ventimiglia for more than three years.

The new season of Mad Men begins April 7 on AMC.
