Tom Cruise gets serious with Jimmy Kimmel

"You are such a movie star," Jimmy Kimmel told Tom Cruise, who dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night to promote his new movie, Oblivion.

After showing a dramatic clip from the film, Kimmel told Cruise, "I have a challenge for you."

The late-night host then ged the star a series of lines to deliver in his most dramatic, movie-star way.

"Is there a way to get the soup and the salad?" was the first one. And we have to say, Cruise nailed it, putting a nice emphasis on "and."

"I can do that better," he immediately said, laughing.

Next line: "What's your return policy on this panini maker?"

Tom, who was so busy getting so into Serious-Guy character, forgot the line.

Not to worry. He went on to perfectly execute a sentence involving gopher-clubbing.
