Judge orders investigation into Paris Jackson's welfare

The Paris Jackson story has taken another turn.

A probate court judge, the one who appointed her grandmother Katherine Jackson and cousin TJ Jackson as her co-guardians last summer, has ordered an investigation into Paris's suicide attempt earlier this week, according to TMZ and People.

Judge Mitchell Beckloff has instructed an investigator to "prepare a written report and include therein any recommendations relating to the minor child's health, education and welfare." Paris is 15.

Beckloff issued the order Thursday as a result of "recent media reports concerning her welfare."

Paris remains under psychiatric evaluation after cutting her wrists with a kitchen knife and swallowing up to 20 ibuprofen pills at home in Calabasas, Calif.
