Lena Dunham has never felt 'more raw'

Overly precious, or irresistibly private?

You be the judge.

Artist and filmmaker Miranda July got 10 celebrities to forward her e-mails as part of her We Think Alone project.

Girls creator and star Lena Dunham's was about her decision to not purchase a $20,554.39 couch from Sweden. "Decided it's just too expensive:)" she e-mailed her assistant, upon hearing the entire cost of the furniture.

"The first installment of @Miranda_July's #wethinkalone. I have never felt more raw than sharing an e-mail about my finances," Tweeted Dunham on Monday.

Here's how it works: you sign up and get 20 e-mails over 20 weeks from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kirsten Dunst, designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy, and Dunham, among others.
