Honey Boo Boo's ailing dad, Sugar Bear, undergoes tests

Mama June Thompson is asking fans to "plz keep sugarbear" in your thoughts.

Honey Boo Boo's father, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, 41, who has diabetes, is in Jacksonville, Fla., visiting the Mayo Clinic as the family is awaiting results of tests he has been undergoing for a possible neurological disorder.

"We will b here all week to run tests and more appts to get the right diagnosis and treatment sugarbear needs," wrote Mama June on Alana's Facebook page.

The family traveled there this past weekend from their home in McIntyre, Ga. She promises to "update when we hear something ?#?nervous? and?#?hoping? for the best..."

The trip to Jacksonville comes a little more than two months after Sugar Bear was hospitalized after "getting dizzy and passing out" over Memorial Day weekend. At that time, Mama June wrote that he was undergoing "a lot of tests on his brain."

In June, she wrote that they had gone to the doctor again. "Not a good report." She mentioned the family would be heading back to Jacksonville "to get more results and c what the long term plan will b for sugarbear. like I said I'm sorry right now don't want to share the diagnosis until we get all the information like we said b4 he is being and acting normal unless he has a episode."

On a recent episode of TLC's Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, viewers saw Sugar Bear rushed to the hospital with intense pain. Doctors diagnosed him for pneumonia and pancreatitis.
