Dina Eastwood defends Clint after split

Clint Eastwood hasn't spoken about his separation from wife Dina after 17 years of marriage.

But Dina has taken to Twitter to tell fans to back off from any trash talking.

"I don't like reading negative things about Clint," she wrote over the weekend. "He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that."

She also wrote to her followers: "You may say I have a 'Twitter issue' — but I will take it over a freeloading, lying, deceitfulness, pain infliction issue. Any day."

And: "I usually don't believe in 'karma' for people who target others with evil intentions. But, I sure hope it exists now." It was unclear who are the "people" with "evil intentions."

Reports broke last week that the two have split, and it may have happened months ago.
