Bateman, Cumberbatch hit Toronto
TORONTO--Ah, stars, they really are (sometimes) just like us.
They wheel their own suitcases through hotel lobbies, as newbie director Jason Bateman was spotted doing through the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto.
He's here at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote his comedy Bad Words, about a spelling bee.
And British actor Benedict Cumberbatch struck quite a dapper pose in the hotel elevator, en route to his Roy Thomson Hall premiere of The Fifth Estate.
Word is the tux-clad Cumberbatch flew straight from the Sherlock TV show set in the U.K. to Toronto, but you'd never know it. "You look great in black," said a friend, hugging him. We can't argue.
He'll be here for awhile, promoting August: Osage County, which premieres Monday night, and 12 Years a Slave, which stunned at Telluride and screens here in a gala presentation on Friday night.
