Justin Bieber reads 'Batman vs. Superman' script

Justin Bieber stirred up some chatter Friday night when he posted an Instagram shot of himself with a script for what appears to be Batman Vs. Superman.

JustJared says he captioned the shot "#robin ??"

But that may just be wishful thinking on fans' parts.

The script features a "Bieber" watermark, suggesting that it's meant specifically for him.

But while Beliebers were arguing the merits of their pop star playing a role in the film and fanboys were lamenting the idea, Bieber tweeted out a tidbit that may be a clue to it all. He wrote: "Off to do something funny or...die :)."

So now it's being called a "phony script" by The Hollywood Reporter.

Maybe someone's up for the role of The Joker, instead?
