Carly Rae Jepsen is Broadway bound

Carly Rae Jepsen is making sure she's not just a one-hit wonder.

The Call Me Maybe singer will step into the glass slippers and the lead role of Broadway's Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella. The Canadian singer-songwriter will take over the role of Cinderella from Tony Award nominee Laura Osnes starting Feb. 4 for 12 weeks.

Jepsen won't be the only new cast member: Fran Drescher also joins the cast Feb. 4 as Cinderella's stepmother, Madame.

Jepsen, herself a Grammy Award nominee, began performing in musical theater in high school. She starred in Annie, The Wiz and Grease before attending the Canadian College of Performing Arts.
