Sally Hawkins is heading 'to the bar'
Someone, go ahead and pinch Sally Hawkins. The actress is convinced she's in an altered state of reality.
"I'm in London. I got back from L.A. last night. I feel a bit dazed and jet-lagged and hoping this is not all a dream," says Hawkins, who earned a best-supporting-actress nomination for Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
She's shocked, surprised and basically struck silent.
"My gosh, I don't know if I can sum it up. I'm so thrilled. That's a complete understatement. It's so overwhelming. I'm getting emotional. I think it will be a few weeks before I process it properly. I know how rare a gift this is," says Hawkins, who plays Cate Blanchett's sweetly grubby sister in the film. "I never thought I'd get the opportunity to walk that carpet."
Next up: A few libations. "I'm probably going out go out and drag some people to the bar with me," says Hawkins.
