Katie Couric: 'Heart is broken' after mother's death

More sad news from the entertainment world: news icon Katie Couric has lost her mother. Elinor Couric died at age 91 on Monday, and Katie took to Twitter Thursday to announce the news.

She also shared her grief with fans on Facebook.

Couric's father John passed away in 2011.
