Cosby praises wife, addresses 'black media'

Bill Cosby has broken his silence in a brief interview with The New York Post on Friday.

In his first statement to the media since telling Florida Today that "people should fact check," Cosby, 77, addressed the "black media," but would not talk about any of the dozens of allegations against him:

"Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind."

The comedian talked about how his wife, Camille, was holding up OK, because of "love and the strength of womanhood."

The Post says Cosby cut off the interview, saying, "They don't want me talking to the media."

The latest woman to come forward with a story about Bill Cosby sexually abusing her is model Beverly Johnson.
