Soap star's legs crushed in car accident


Fans, friends and colleagues are sending get-well wishes to soap star Linsey Godfrey.

The Bold and the Beautiful actress (she plays Caroline Spencer) was hit by a car in Los Angeles on Monday while walking down a Los Angeles street, according to multiple reports, including the LAPD.

At around 2:30 p.m. a car that had collided with another car careened onto the sidewalk, knocking down Godfrey, 26. Police initially said that Godfrey's legs were both broken.

TMZ posted gruesome shots of the crash.

Fellow soap stars tweeted out their support.

Later, a spokesperson for Godfrey told E! and People that the actress' injuries were limited to her ankles. She underwent surgery on Monday, is expected to make a full recovery.

She and her fiance, Robert Adamson, who stars on The Young and the Restless, welcomed a baby girl, Aleda Seren Adamson, earlier this year.

Adamson tweeted that Godfrey is "ok" and will soon be "back on her feet."

Godfrey knows about recovering from serious ailments. In 2006, at age 18, she underwent treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma.
