Most public display of affection: Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama
To mark her three-year anniversary of staying sober, singer Lovato, 22, thanked boyfriend Valderrama. "After sharing my ups, putting up with my downs and supporting my recovery... he still never takes credit and I want the world to know how incredible his soul is. I really wouldn't be alive today without him. I love you, Wilmer," she wrote on Instagram. In response, Valderrama posted, "I am proud and honor to be front row to see the world you are about to change. I love you, Demi."
Classiest party crash: Will Ferrell
Dressed as his Anchorman character, Ron Burgundy, Ferrell crashed the Comedy Central roast of 21-year-old Justin Bieber (airing March 30). During the night of making jokes about the 21-year-old singer, Burgundy, who's known for keeping things "classy," defended the bad-boy singer: "Listen, I'm going to cut to the chase, Justin Bieber. You've been taking it on the chin tonight. ... I'm here to say one thing: You people don't know what the hell you're talking about. As far as I am concerned, this guy is doing it right. Not only do you need to continue to live your life with the same reckless abandon, I suggest you even turn up the heat."
Silliest disagreement: President Obama and Kanye West
On Jimmy Kimmel, the host asked President Obama if he could corroborate an assertion by music producer and rapper Kanye West that "Obama calls the home phone, by the way." In response to Kimmel's question, Obama said, "I don't think I've got his home number." Then West was asked about his presidential phone conversations again, this time by celebrity gossip site TMZ. Did the musician, in fact, take calls from the president? "I love Obama. He called our house before. He knows that. Don't try to pit us against each other," West responded.
Most glamorous red carpet transformation: Shailene Woodley
Woodley, who plays a tomboyish Tris in the new Divergent sequel Insurgent, has been attending her movie's premieres in serious style. The actress has ditched her onscreen flannels and windbreakers for an open-back Ralph Lauren gown and a sexy white-and-yellow Emilia Wickstead number. Tris cleans up nice!
Best screening surprise: Furious 7 at SXSW
The Fast and Furious sequel Furious 7 doesn't hit theaters until April 3. But fans attending the SXSW festival in Austin got to see the movie early. The screening was filled with cheers and applause, especially when late actor Paul Walker, who died in a car accident in November 2013, was onscreen. Director James Wan tweeted 'Thank you @sxsw & everyone who came to tonight's #Furious7 screening. What an incredible and emotional experience. Paul would be proud."
Most satisfying teaser: 'The Rock' for Lip Sync Battle
The Spike show Lip Sync Battle premieres April 2. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson gave us a taste of what the show would look and sound like, with a teaser he shared on Instagram. The video clip featured himself, a muscly professional wrestler and actor, mouthing the words to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off. It was beautiful.
