Celebs: Summer songs, baby names
Best triple-barreled moniker: Princess Charlotte
After her arrival on May 2, everyone waited ... and waited ... and waited to find out what Prince William and Duchess Kate would name their new daughter. And then, on Monday morning they made even the most cynical of royal watchers issue a collective "Awwwwww!" when they revealed that the tiny princess would be called Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. How perfect is that?!
Most eyebrow-raising national anthem: Jamie Foxx
There has been plenty of competition over the years when it comes to celebs messing up the Star-Spangled Banner. (Roseanne Barr ring a bell?) And, Jamie Foxx proved he deserves to be in that pantheon when he belted it out ahead of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight on May 1. From his pitchy runs to those misplaced "hallelujahs" at the end, we were just waiting for it to be over -- much like the fight itself!
Lamest kiss diss: Madonna
After her kiss with Drake became fodder for laughing-at-you-not-with-you memes, Madonna fired back, joking that "I kissed a girl, and I liked it." Now, we all love that Katy Perry classic, but seriously, taking potshots at Drake, who says he was more shocked than disgusted by the lip lock, seems a little immature, Madge.
Most promising entry for song of summer: Iggy and Britney
Is it here already? The 2015 Song of Summer? Maybe. Britney Spears joins Iggy Azalea, whose "Fancy" was last year's SOS, on the new single "Pretty Girls," which sure sounds like it could take the crown this summer. Not only is the tune quite catchy, it has the frothy, carefree lyrics that usually spell out SOS success: "All around the world, pretty girls/ Wipe the floor with all the boys/ Pour the drinks, bring the noise/ We're just so pretty!"
Most butt-kicking class photo: 'Suicide Squad'
Avengers: Age Ultron kicked butt at the box office over the weekend, but a different group of butt kickers got Twitter into a frenzy Sunday night. Director David Ayer tweeted a class photo of the cast from his upcoming comic-book flick Suicide Squad. The shot, which showed everyone in full costume, includes Adam Beach, left, as Slipknot, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.
Best reversal: Sofia Vergara
She's since come to her senses, but Sofia Vergara almost turned down her current fiancé Joe Manganiello ... for being too attractive. She admitted her near-mistake to Ellen DeGeneres on Monday. "I had just finished a relationship. ... He seemed like a lot of work because (he's) so handsome and younger than me and like so sexy and whatever, best bachelor, or whatever he was. And I'm like, ugh. Just too much! But he convinced me. He flew to New Orleans and forced me on a date. ... I'm like, he's a great guy, super fun, super normal and we have like. We click. Like it's super easy to hang out with him." Smart woman.
