Rita Wilson is back and sizzling at Tonys
Two months after announcing she was treated for breast cancer, Rita Wilson was a knockout at the 69th annual Tony Awards in New York Sunday.
Accompanied by son Colin Hanks, Wilson wore a sparkly black, form-fitting Tom Ford column gown, with long sleeves and cutouts in the upper bodice, described as a "deco wave necklace."
It was her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis.
Wilson, 58, a cast member of Larry David's Fish in the Dark, was a presenter at the annual celebration of New York theater, for the category of best director of a play.
In April, Wilson, an actress also known as the wife of Tom Hanks, revealed to People she was taking a break from Fish because she had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction after a diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma.
"I am recovering and, most importantly, expected to make a full recovery," she said in a statement at the time.
On Sunday night, she was tweeting from her seat.
