Brangelina: Power tea with William, Kate

As far as tea meetings go, this one was off the pop-culture charts.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sharing tea and those little finger sandwiches with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and the former Kate Middleton.

A spokesman from Kensington Palace confirms to Paste BN that this happened. It all went down at Kensington Palace on Friday, the first meeting of the uber power-foursome and a huge day for Earl Grey.

"They met to discuss their shared interest in combating the illegal wildlife trade," confirmed deputy communications secretary Nick Loughran in an email message.

Us magazine broke the news, quoting an insider who said the meeting went on for a few hours and "everyone got on splendidly."

The meeting happened when Jolie was called to London to attend a lunch Monday at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as part of her foreign policy work and her ongoing campaign to end war zone sexual violence, the magazine stated.

Prince George was the only child present for the meeting, but Jolie and Pitt brought a special gift for the Duke and Duchess to celebrate the arrival of Princess Charlotte, who was born in May.
