Superlatives: Prince William, Kylie Jenner
Paste BN's Maeve McDermott combs through the latest celebrity news for the best and the worst moments of the week.Think high school yearbook superlatives — if Prince William and Kylie Jenner were classmates.
Most welcome return: David Letterman
After retiring from the Late Show in May, the longtime CBS host made a surprise appearance at San Antonio's Majestic Theatre Friday, joining his comedian pals Steve Martin and Martin Short on stage. It was Letterman's first appearance since ending his 22-year Late Show run, and he lamented leaving the hosting chair before Donald Trump announced his presidential run. "I have made the biggest mistake of my life, ladies and gentlemen," he joked.
Most controversial: Kylie Jenner
After the youngest Kardashian-Jenner posted a picture of her new cornrows on Instagram, Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg called out Kylie's appropriation of black culture in the comment section. "When [you] appropriate black features and culture but fail to use [your] position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards [your] wigs instead of police brutality or racism," she wrote.
Busiest: Ryan Seacrest
Does this man ever sleep? In addition to his duties as a TV personality, radio host and red carpet-fixture, Ryan Seacrest just signed a three-year expansion deal with iHeartRadio, which will increase his role as a broadcast and radio personality for the network. First up: his new show, Knock Knock Live, premieres July 21 on Fox.
Brokest: 50 Cent
The Get Rich or Die Tryin' rapper is officially running out of cash. Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy Monday, reporting assets and debts each between $10 million to $50 million. Guess you won't be finding him in the club (with a bottle full of bub) anytime soon.
Most apologetic: Justin Bieber
A week after getting everyone in a tizzy with an Instagram shot of his bare posterior, Justin Bieber removed the picture from his account and, yes, he even apologized. He replaced the questionable shot with a fully-clothed picture, claiming that he deleted the original post "not because I thought it was bad but someone close to me's daughter follows me and she was embarrassed that she saw my butt." That's what happens when you have nearly 32.9 million Instagram followers, Justin.
Best helicopter parent: Prince William
Yes, literally. William had his first day on Monday at his brand new job, flying emergency rescue helicopters for East Anglian Air Ambulance. The Duke of Cambridge will work with doctors, paramedics and pilots to help provide emergency medical services. But don't worry, royal-watchers — the new dad is only a part-time pilot.
