Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' deposition video goes public

Robin Thicke confessed he wasn't sober for any of the interviews in which he embellished his role in the creative process behind his hit Blurred Lines.

"With all due respect," he told an attorney in an unsealed deposition video obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, "I was high and drunk every time I did an interview last year." That was even true of his Oprah Winfrey interview, he acknowledged.

Even worse: When asked if he considered himself an honest person, Thicke responded, "No."

The THR story, published Saturday, included several snippets from the deposition phase of the landmark plagiarism trial brought by the family of Marvin Gaye, who successfully argued that Thicke and co-writer Pharrell Williams copied the late singer's 1977 hit Got to Give It Up. In March, they won a $7.3 million judgment that was later pared down to $5.3 million.

The Blurred Lines duo and their legal team have an appeal in the works.
