Reports: Azealia Banks arrested outside NYC club
Azealia Banks has been arrested in New York City according to multiple media reports.
The rapper, 24, allegedly assaulted a female security guard at the club Up&Down, which is in the Meatpacking district of New York, according to E! News. The site reports that police said that Banks was removed from the club "when she became verbally abusive and began to push the victim and bit victim on the breast causing swelling and redness."
Banks was arrested for second-degree harassment for physical contact, disorderly conduct for a fight and violent behavior, and assault with the intent to cause physical injury early Wednesday morning, reports People. According to reports, she was charged with those three counts as well as attempted assault with the intent to cause physical injury in an arraignment later that day.
Banks also made headlines in September when she got into a verbal altercation with a flight attendant on a Delta airlines flight, which was caught on video.
