Lady Gaga offers details, thoughts on 'break' from Taylor Kinney
After staying quiet while breakup stories raged Tuesday, Lady Gaga surfaced overnight to clear the air about the status of her relationship with Taylor Kinney.
It doesn't look like they're ready to throw in the towel quite yet.
"Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates," she wrote in an Instagram post bearing a black-and-white shot of the couple walking away from the camera with their arms around each other. "Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
The couple has been together five years and got engaged in February of 2015. Throughout their relationship they've been highly supportive of each other's careers.
