Ryan Reynolds' 2017 is off to a pretty good start.

He's got a new daughter and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And Deadpool, his decade-long labor of love, was been nominated for two Golden Globes (both he and the movie lost out to La La Land and its star, fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling) and a Producer's Guild Award, which puts the movie in the best-picture conversation for the Oscar nominations, which will be announced Jan. 24.

He picked up another accolade on Friday, when Havard University theater student group the Hasty Pudding Theatricals named the Canadian actor its Man of the Year.

In keeping with tradition, Reynolds will be roasted by the student group (that oughtta be good) before getting his pudding pot on Feb. 3 in Cambridge, Mass.

They have yet to declare which actress will be 2017's woman of the year.

Hasty Pudding bills itself as the nation’s oldest collegiate theatrical organization that traces its roots to 1795.

Last year’s Man of the Year was Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Previous winners include Chris Pratt, Neil Patrick Harris and Robin Williams.

The 2017 Woman of the Year hasn’t yet been announced. Last year, they honored Scandal's Kerry Washington.
