'Bachelorette' star Trista Sutter suffers seizure in Croatia
Trista Sutter shared a scary story from her European vacation.
The reality TV personality, who became ABC's first-ever Bachelorette star, was on a trip with her family in Croatia, when she had a seizure. She wrote about the incident on Instagram Saturday.
"I fell on my daughter's chest & she watched, along with her brother & grandparents, in confusion & horror as her mommy stared blankly off into the distance & started turning blue," Sutter wrote. "I ended up in a Croatian hospital being poked and prodded and wondering 'why me?' But today, I had to ask, 'why not me'? [sic] I'm human."
Sutter said that she has gained perspective from the experience. "I've never been perfect and I never will be, but from here on out, I vow to try my best to live this life to the fullest...To stress less. To love more. To listen. Be kind. Spread joy.To be a better version of myself as a wife, mother, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, neighbor, daughter, and friend," she wrote. "Tell the people you love how you feel and live with grateful enthusiasm. I plan to."
She thanked tourists, her "#bachelornation family" and her husband, the firefighter who won the first season of Bachelorette, Ryan Sutter.
Ryan posted on Instagram Friday, "Some days don't go the way you planned. And that's ok."
Trista seems to be doing much better since her hospitalization. She shared a photo with Ryan on Saturday. The caption: "Today was a good day."
