Reports: Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander tie the knot

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander have tied the knot.

According to People and E! News, the famously private couple married in an intimate ceremony in Ibiza over the weekend.

Fassbender, 40, and Vikander, 29, began dating in 2014 while making the drama The Light Between Oceans

Fassbender hails from Ireland, and the Oscar-winning Vikander is Swedish. The two had met the year prior on the dance floor during the Toronto International Film Festival, where they were promoting their respective 12 Years A Slave and The Fifth Estate.

"We had a boogie," Vikander told Paste BN in Sept. 2016. "He's a very good dancer."

"I felt like I couldn't dance," Fassbender protested. "I thought I was pretty good, but she was there with a friend of hers, just jiving all over the place. I was like, 'God, I feel like I've got two left feet.' Then I left, defeated."

The Daily Mail published photos of the pair wearing rings on their wedding fingers  on Sunday. According to People, director Steve McQueen was a guest at the nuptials.

Reps for the couple did not respond to Paste BN.
