Jimmy Fallon's 'biggest fan,' mother Gloria Fallon, has died

"Today I lost my biggest fan," Jimmy Fallon wrote in a statement shared with Paste BN.
“Jimmy Fallon’s mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday," Fallon's spokeswoman, Claire Mercuri, confirmed in a separate statement sent Sunday to Paste BN. "Jimmy was at his mother’s bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time.”
Fallon, 43, had canceled his Tonight Show taping Friday for "a private Fallon family matter." His mother died the next day. NBC said Sunday that new episodes of the show are canceled next week, and repeat episodes will be shown Monday to Friday.
Fans and friends tweeted their condolences to Fallon over the weekend, including Stephen Colbert, who wrote, "Mom is the first audience and the best. Remembering Jimmy Fallon and his family in our prayers today."
"Jimmy's mom was full of energy, fun, a hearty laugh & twinkle in her eye," Andy Cohen wrote. "The apple didn't fall far from the tree."
Miley Cyrus sent her love and urged, "Keep smilin, Jimmy."
