Deputies search Heather Locklear's home for firearm after threat


Authorities served a search warrant at Heather Locklear’s house Tuesday after a reported threat made during her recent arrest, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.

Locklear, 56, was arrested at her home on Feb. 25 on suspicion of felony domestic battery and three counts of battering a police officer. During her arrest, Locklear threatened she would shoot authorities if they ever came to her house again, according to deputies.

An investigation into Locklear revealed she had a firearm registered in her name. At noon on Tuesday, police executed a search warrant for the firearm at her residence in the 4900 block of Summit View Drive in Thousand Oaks. The firearm was not found at the residence during the search, authorities said.

Locklear is currently out of custody on bail. She is scheduled to appear in court next Tuesday, authorities said.
