'A VERY cool use of vibranium': Rep. Dan Crenshaw reveals his Captain America glass eye
One war hero is commending another fictional war hero.
U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL-turned Texas congressman who lost his eye in Afghanistan, showed off his Marvel-ous "Captain America"-inspired glass eye to Steve Rogers himself – actor Chris Evans.
Crenshaw took to Twitter Friday to post a picture of himself revealing a "Captain America" star shield on his glass eye underneath the eye patch he wears. Crenshaw lost his right eye to an IED blast during his third deployment in 2012.
"When Captain America sees your Captain America glass eye," the congressman captioned the images, adding the hashtag #merica.

Evans seemed to approve.
"A VERY cool use of vibranium," he tweeted Friday, referring to a virtually indestructible fictional metal used to create Captain America's shield.
The actor, 37, met with other lawmakers during a stop in Washington over the weekend, including South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, who appears to know the highly anticipated ending of "Avengers: Endgame" (in theaters April 26).
"Honor to meet you, sir. Thank you for taking the time," Evans tweeted. "And if you repeat the secrets I told you about Endgame, Marvel will make sure we BOTH turn to dust."
