'Big Little Lies' star Adam Scott slams Mitch McConnell for using his image, sparking feud

Adam Scott has a message for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The 46-year-old actor – who's known for starring in HBO's "Big Little Lies" and NBC's "Parks and Recreation" – took to Twitter Wednesday after discovering that McConnell's official reelection account tweeted his image. And, let's just say, Scott didn't hold back.

"Dear Mitch McConnell & all those representing him, Please refrain from using my image in support of anything but your own stunning & humiliating defeat," Scott wrote.

He's referring to a tweet from McConnell's account that linked to The Hill journalist Saagar Enjet, who reported that President Trump said he would fill a Supreme Court vacancy before the 2020 election, despite supporting efforts to block nominee Merrick Garland.

McConnell's account tweeted a GIF of Scott's "Parks" character, Ben Wyatt, winking at the camera, with cheers in the background.

McConnell blocked then-President Barack Obama's Supreme Court nomination of Garland in 2016 because it was an election year.

McConnell’s account fired back with yet another image of Scott.

This time, they featured a fictional newspaper article about his character Wyatt, a former mayor who was impeached after bankrupting his small town with a winter sports complex.

Scott brought McConnell's camp back to reality with a real-life picture of the current Senate Majority Leader posing in front of a Confederate flag in the 1990s.

McConnell's team hasn't responded to Scott's latest tweet, but that didn't stop fans from joining in on the Twitter feud.

"We just witnessed a stunning and humiliating defeat," @singlefileeyes tweeted, while @SamVargas shared a GIF of Scott's character giving an epic mic drop: "Bam!"

Scott currently plays Ed Mackenzie on "Big Little Lies," the husband of Reese Witherspoon's Madeline.
