Heroic firefighter saves trapped kitten from storm drain in heart stopping rescue
A tiny kitten used up one of its nine lives early when it fell into a storm drain in Chandler, Arizona.
The kitten was looking at a catastrophe until firefighters arrived on the scene and came up with a rescue plan.
Carefully, they tied a rope around the helpless cat, and, accompanied by a few scared meows, Firefighter Riley was able to gently hoist the animal to safety.
As the kitten nestled in the hands of another firefighter, cheers broke out amongst the crew.
Later, on their Instagram, the Chandler Fire Department posted the following message: "Thanks to the crew and Firefighter Riley, we are thrilled to share that the kitten is safe, adopted, and now has a new name: Riley.”
