How to get wrinkles out of clothes without an iron

Wrinkles often occur when clothes are left in the dryer after the cycle ends. Fortunately, the dryer can also be the solution to removing wrinkles easily.

  1. Put wrinkled clothes in the dryer.
  2. Get a handful of ice cubes. 4 or 5 should do the trick.
  3. Place ice cubes into the dryer with wrinkled clothes.
  4. Run the dryer on high heat for 10 to 20 mins.
  5. The ice cubes will create steam that releases the wrinkles as they melt in the dryer.
  6. Remove clothing when done and shake or gently pull the corners of the garment to further release wrinkles.

This method is best for cotton and other natural fabrics.

How to make your own wrinkle releaser

Another way to get wrinkles out of clothes without using an iron is to make your own wrinkle releaser spray at home. Here’s how:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup distilled water.
  • 1 tbsp. distilled white vinegar.
  • 1 tsp. hair conditioner or fabric softener.
  • A spray bottle.

Instructions:

  1. Mix ingredients together.
  2. Pour solution into a spray bottle.
  3. Mist wrinkled garment with wrinkle releaser solution.
  4. Give garment a gentle tug in all corners to release wrinkles.
  5. Let it air dry.

If you need to, you can wear it immediately, but it will be damp and you also risk new wrinkles forming as it dries.
