Bacon strips

Are you tired of the bacon strips sticking, stretching and tearing when you try to take them out of the packaging? This two-second hack can change that.

Watch a demonstration on how to roll your bacon here.

All you have to do is roll it! Roll the packet from top to bottom, unroll it, then roll it up from side to side. Now open it up and get those strips out with ease. This works whether you’re planning to cook the entire pack of bacon or just a couple of strips.

Easy way to cook bacon

Here’s how to make bacon on the stovetop without a greasy mess:

  1. Skip the skillet! Opt for a pot with a heavy bottom. The high sides help contain the grease from splattering everywhere.
  2. Add the bacon while the pot is still cold.
  3. Turn on the heat and let the bacon start to cook and render the fat. You can also add a splash of water to the pot to help with the cooking.
  4. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat.
  5. Keep the bacon moving to ensure it’s cooked evenly.
  6. Cook it to your desired crispiness and place on a paper towel to cool and drain excess grease before enjoying.
