Where to see 'Hamilton' (and when, in some cases)

The moment that Hamilton fans across the country have been waiting for has arrived — or is about to, anyway, some time over the next two years. Here's what we know so far about the two upcoming productions of the Broadway smash, one in Chicago and the other a national tour. Some of the cities have only been "teased," but dates are included where available, as well as venues.

Chicago: Performances begin Sept. 27 for an open-ended run at the PrivateBank Theatre.

San Francisco: Performances begin March 2017, 21-week engagement at the Orpheum Theatre.

Los Angeles: Performances run Aug. 11-Dec. 30, 2017 at Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

Washington: Performances run mid-June through mid-September 2018 (14 weeks) at the Kennedy Center.
