HBO sets premieres for 'Girls,' two new series
HBO has set January premiere dates for the third season of Girls, starring Lena Dunham, and two new series.
Girls returns with back-to-back episodes Jan. 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following the premiere of True Detective, a drama starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The series follows two Louisiana detectives on a 17-year hunt for a killer in a case that begins in 1995 and is reopened in 2012. Michelle Monaghan plays Harrelson's wife.
A week later, Jan. 19 at 10:30 ET/PT, HBO debuts Looking, a half-hour series about three San Francisco friends "who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men," the network says. Jonathan Groff (Glee), Frankie Alvarez and Murray Bartlett star.
