Showtime orders more 'Homeland' and 'Masters of Sex'

Ready for more sex and intrigue?

Showtime announced the renewals of its two popular Sunday night shows, Homeland and Masters of Sex.

Both series will return in 2014 with 12 one-hour episodes, says David Nevin, Showtime's president of entertainment in a release. It'll be Homeland's fourth season and Masters of Sex's second.

Masters of Sex stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan, who portray real-life human sexuality pioneers, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.

Meanwhile, Mandy Patinkin, who plays CIA chief Saul Berenson on Homeland, told Paste BN before Season 3 started that it seemed to be setting things up for another one. "I love the direction they have taken with the whole piece," he said. "I am now clearly seeing where Season 4 is going to go. I think they're setting up incredible, incredible, possibilities."

Are you clearly seeing it, too?
