CW orders new seasons of five series

Five of the CW Network's shows have been picked up for the 2014-15 season.

Arrow, Reign, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals (a spin-off of Vampire Diaries) and Supernatural will return in the fall, announced Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW.

Reign, which stars Adelaide Kane as a teen Mary, Queen of Scots, debuted in the fall, along with The Originals.

Fall will mark the third season for Arrow, the sixth season for Vampire Diaries and the 10th season for Supernatural.

On Wednesday, E! reported that production on Vampire Diaries and The Originals was temporarily shut down in Atlanta because of the snow storm. We've confirmed the shows will remain down through tomorrow.
