Nielsens: Barbara Walters' sendoffs fare well
Bye-bye Barbara. Barbara Walters' sendoff from ABC's The View netted 5.2 million viewers Friday, the daytime gabfest's biggest audience since 2009 -- and its fourth-best in the show's 17-year run. That night, a two-hour retrospective of the legendary newswoman's career averaged 9.5 million and was the night's most-watched show.
Billboard charts. Extending the run of growth for awards shows, ABC's Billboard Music Awards claimed 10.7 million viewers, its best showing since 2001 (12.1 million on Fox), and up by a million from last year.
Love doesn't grow. Part 2 of NBC's Rosemary's Baby miniseries remake conjured up a mere 3.3 million viewers, down from 3.7 million for Sunday's opener.
